At Bison Bros, the safety of our customers, team members, and community is our top priority. This Safety & Liability Policy explains the safety standards we follow during our lawn, snow, and exterior services, and outlines the limits of liability associated with our work.

1. Commitment to Safety
We conduct all services with care, attention, and respect for your property. Our team is trained to:
- Use proper equipment safely
- Follow weather-appropriate safety procedures
- Prevent avoidable damage to property
- Maintain awareness of people, vehicles, pets, and surroundings
If conditions are unsafe or pose a risk to our team or your property, we may delay, modify, or refuse service.
2. Customer Responsibilities
For the safety of both parties, customers are responsible for ensuring:
- Clear access to driveways, sidewalks, gates, or areas requiring service
- Removal of objects that may interfere with service (hoses, toys, cords, tools, decorations, debris, etc.)
- Secured pets during service
- Visible property boundaries when applicable
- Safe storage of any chemicals, equipment, or personal items on the property
Hidden hazards can pose a risk to our equipment and staff.
If unsafe conditions exist, service may be adjusted or postponed.
3. Liability Limitations
While Bison Bros takes every reasonable precaution, the following limitations apply:
a) Pre-Existing Damage
We are not responsible for damage that existed prior to service, including:
- Cracked or uneven pavement
- Loose stones, bricks, or edging
- Damaged or improperly installed siding or fencing
- Pre-existing lawn issues (dead spots, pests, uneven ground, etc.)
b) Hidden or Obstructed Objects
We are not liable for damage to objects that are buried, hidden, or obstructed, such as:
- Garden hoses
- Outdoor cables or wires
- Sprinkler heads
- Landscape lights
- Toys, debris, or tools
Customers must ensure the service area is clear and safe.
c) Weather & Natural Conditions
Snow, ice, heavy debris, deep grass, and other natural conditions can limit what is possible. Bison Bros is not liable for:
- Re-freezing of melted snow or ice
- Damage caused by severe weather
- Slippery or hazardous conditions that develop after service
- Delays caused by storms or unsafe conditions
d) Equipment-Related Limitations
We are not responsible for:
- Lawn or surface markings caused by necessary equipment
- Temporary indentations from tires or tools
- Minor cosmetic effects from mowing, clearing, or debris removal
These are normal and unavoidable in outdoor service work.
4. Property Access and Safety
To safely complete your service:
- Walkways, driveways, and gates must be accessible
- Vehicles should be moved when required
- Large debris or obstructions must be removed
- Pets must be kept inside or secured
If access is blocked or unsafe, we may cancel or reschedule the appointment.
5. Incidents and Reporting
If any damage occurs during service, the customer must notify Bison Bros within 24–48 hours with:
- A description of the issue
- Photos of the affected area
- The date and time of the service
We will review the report and respond promptly.
6. Liability Exclusions
Bison Bros is not liable for:
- Injuries resulting from customer misuse of equipment or walking on treated areas
- Slips, falls, or injuries occurring after we leave the property
- Issues caused by weather changes following service
- Damage caused by hidden hazards or unsecured items
- Losses resulting from scheduling delays due to weather or safety concerns
We do not assume liability for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages.
7. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Safety & Liability Policy as needed.
The “Last Updated” date will reflect the most recent changes.
We encourage all customers to review this policy periodically.
